Disable IE Security Warnings
In our declining economy, cost-cutting measures are taken and jobs that are seemingly unimportant are eliminated. “What did we need the extra web developers for?” one GM exec asks. Snip goes that job and say good-bye to the browser support for firefox & safari. Oh, the main site still works but if you want to use their online tools for purchasing vehicles, good luck. Here’s the basics for disabling the annoying IE settings.
start > run >gpedit.msc
Go through the following
- Local Computer Policy
- Computer Configuration
- Administrative Templates
- Windows Components
- Internet Explorer
- double click “Turn off the Security Settings Check feature” and set to enabled
Of course, if you really want to learn something of windows security (or lack thereof) you could spend quite a bit of time poking around in there. Add regedit to your list while you are at it.
